Variuos Temples present in Trikutam in Katra

Vaishno Devi Temple :
Katra or Katra Vaishno Devi, as it is popularly known, is a small town in Reasi district of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir situated in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains, where the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi is located. It is located 42 km from the city of Jammu. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, one of the leading technical university of India is also located here.


Charan Ganga:
 The Charan Ganga is the religious place where stream of water that runs from the Pindis inside the cave. Here, Maa Vaishno Devi Stopped for some time while Bhairav was chasing here. Her footprints are supposed to be visible on a stone at this place. Charanpaduka means "holy footprints". It is about 1.5 km from Ban Ganga at 3,380 feet.

Banganga Temple :
This temple is located about 3 kilometers from Katra where devotees come to worship of Durga Maa. According to Hindu religion, when Veer Hanuman felt thirsty then Goddess Vaishno Devi produce this River by shot on a stone now known as Banganga. Mostly Devotees take bath here.






Ardh Kumari: 

The Ardh Kumari temple is situated at the half point from the Vaishno Devi Cave. There is 15 foot long narrow Cave which is called Garbha Joon, 4800 feet at the sea level and is situated 4.5 km from Charan Paduka. When Bhairon entered the cave, the goddess made a new opening with her trident and ran away.

 Bhairav Nath Temple:

The Bhairav Nath Temple is situated at 3 kilometers top from the cave of Vaishno Devi. According to the Hindu Mythology, your trip would not be complete without the Darshan of Bhairav Nath Temple.
